Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
Religious buildings require thoughtful design and respectful project delivery.
EMC2 has worked with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS) since the 1970s. A wide variety of new buildings, renovations, and additions have been completed, as well temple projects in Mesa and Snowflake, Arizona.
We have been involved in more than 200 new Ward, Stake, and Seminary Building projects, as well as the Arizona Regional Welfare Facility grain silos, and additions to other Church buildings. Experience includes Church feasibility studies, designs for new facilities, utilization of standard plans, contract document preparation, and construction administration.
Our LDS work outside of Arizona includes projects in Texas and Hawaii. Multiple projects have been completed in the Houston Metro-area, Galveston, Angleton, and McAllen, Texas, and the Hawaiian Islands of Oahu, Maui, Kuai, and Molokai.
In addition to implementing LDS standard plans, we have assisted in developing regional standard meetinghouse plans for the desert southwest and hot/humid climates. We have designed multiple custom plans for unique site requirements and additions to non-standard existing buildings.
When emergency repairs or replacements have arisen due to fire or flood, we do everything we can to get the members back into their building as quickly as possible. Services have included quick assessment of the buildings and local member needs and generating and submitting plans for permitting on a compressed schedule.
